ECOSOC Youth Forum

The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum will be held on 7 and 8 April 2021. It will be a virtual event bringing on board young people from around the world. It will provide a global platform for a dialogue among Member States and young leaders from around the world on solutions to challenges affecting youth wellbeing. It will also serve as a unique space for young people to share their vision and actions as well as to provide youth perspectives on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs.

The 2021 Forum’s discussions will be guided by the overall theme of the 2021 ECOSOC and High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF): “Sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, that promotes the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development: Building an inclusive and effective path for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda in the context of the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development”.

Eligible participants

  • Individual Young Person (a single individual aged 30 and below, wanting to attend the Forum in a personal capacity and not on behalf of an organisation)
  • Individual Person (a single individual aged 31+, wanting to attend the Forum in a personal capacity and not on behalf of an organisation)
  • Youth-led Organisation (organisation run by youth, age 30 and below)
  • Youth-focused Organisation (organisation run by adults, age 30+, and working for youth)
